How Grazie EcoNatural came to life
Grazie EcoNatural is basically based on a dream, the one of achieving a zero waste economy where waste materials are reused, rather than being discarded. The idea was to recover the cellulose fibres present in beverage cartons to manufacture a new paper. The material of beverage cartons is made of valuable fibres that can used to manufacture an extraordinarily strong and soft paper.
A technologically innovative production process is used to separate the cartons into their individual components: cellulose fibres, polyethylene and aluminium. The material obtained from the cellulose fibres is Fiberpack®, a new raw material with which we manufacture the Grazie EcoNatural range of products. The remaining materials (polyethylene and aluminium) are also recovered and used to manufacture commonly used objects.
Grazie EcoNatural paper is also unique in terms of its colour: an elegant light brown that brings to mind the colour of the Earth and nature. Our aim is to obtain a truly environmentally sustainable paper, so we have chosen not to use dyes or optical brighteners, leaving it the same colour “as nature intended”.

ENVIRONMENTAL RESULTS
It is environmentally sustainable, but not just because it is recycled
Various work has been performed on the production plants to improve their environmental performance. Over the last few years, water consumption and the quantity of CO2 released into the atmosphere have been reduced, thanks partly to the shift from road to rail transport of the raw materials.
